CDC Climat and Emertec invest in HPC-SA, publisher of ArchiWizard, the eco-design building softwareHPC-SA has developed the flagship solution ArchiWizard, which provides real-time, 3D simulations of building energy performance, from the schematic design phase onwards.
Emertec, through its Emertec 4 fund, and CDC Climat, a subsidiary of Caisse des Dépôts Group, have contributed 3 million euro to HPC-SA, a start-up company designing innovative solutions to control building energy consumption.
HPC-SA has developed the flagship solution ArchiWizard, which provides real-time, 3D simulations of building energy performance, from the schematic design phase onwards. It provides architects and actors in the construction value chain with an accurate and user-friendly eco-design tool, in particular as regards compliance with the requirements of the Thermal Regulations that are reinforcing in Europe. ArchiWizard is also intended for building manufacturers looking to optimise the thermal performance of materials and processes.
Over the past two years, the software has received many awards in France, and the recognition of building professionals.
CDC Climat and Emertec have invested on equal terms in HPC-SA and their contribution will allow the company to speed up its international development.
“Energy- and carbon-efficient buildings are one of the main levers in the fight against climate change. In Europe, the building sector accounts for 40% of final energy consumption and 36% of greenhouse gas emissions” states Pierre Ducret, CEO of CDC Climate. “HPC-SA offers an unparalleled service in this field. With this equity participation, CDC Climat builds on its strategy to invest in promising companies providing innovative services that contribute to a transition to a low-carbon economy.”
“The maturity of HPC-SA’s software solutions, their first partnerships formed with renowned manufacturers and the management team’s excellent knowledge of the market won us over,” says Jean-Philippe Gendre, Investment Director of Emertec Gestion. “Our financial support will enable HPC-SA to position itself as a world leader in building energy simulation software.”
