BlueNext

Alongside with NYSE Euronext (60 %), CDC Climat holds a 40 % stake in BlueNext, the carbon and environmental assets stock exchange.

BlueNext has so far opened 4 separate markets and brings together 95 active members, principally banks, energy producers and suppliers, and specialist intermediaries.

BlueNext consists of two spot markets in carbon assets, one for quotas, of which it is the world leader, and the other for CER   (Certified Emission Reduction). It has also launched two future markets for the same assets, EUA quotas and credits. With its strong experience in the Kyoto credits market, BlueNext is also a key player in organizing auctions of European allowances.
